Description: Our charter operator will be Steve Wallace aboard the Georgian Explorer.

Departure will be at Town of Penetanguishene Dock at the North of Hwy 93. There is parking. We will leave the cottage as a group. It is about 20-25 minutes away from the cottage. Divers need to arrive by 7:40. Boat departs at 8:00am. We suggest you bring 4 tanks. Neptunes Locker Dive Shop is located on Southern Georgian Bay Tiny township 12km outside Penetanguishene and can fill the dive tanks. Tanks fills are $7.00 for Air and $16.00 for Nitrox + HST. Store hours will be posted on their website in April. Steve will provide coffee, donuts & fruit on arrival, a hot lunch and cold drinks provided throughout the day.

Southern Georgian Bay is one of the best places in Ontario for diving, located just over 2 hours away from Toronto and an hour away from smaller cities such as Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, and Wasaga Beach. Making it a short commute and an ideal place for divers and non-divers to find a multitude of activities.

With warm water temperatures and moderate visibility, it reduces the need for thick wetsuits, hoods, and gloves allowing new divers to feel more confident and excel in their skills. It also allows for easy multiple dives in a single day saving time and money. Our wrecks and dive sites are shallow in water depth and mainly located within seven miles which makes it very accessible.

Some of the shipwrecks include The Mapledawn - Steel Bulk Carrier, Lottie Wolfe - Schooner, Michigan - Lifting Barge, Thomas Cranage - Lakes Longest Wooden Steamer, Marquette - Schooner - Most Intact of Area Wrecks.
