THE TIMES LISTED ARE TO SET A GENERAL GUIDELINE AND TRAVELLING TIME ON THE WATER.

Description:

This is a very different and exciting dive trip from all others you will encounter. There are a few major benefits. The first is; we will control the pace at which we dive, the numbers of dives, the dive sites that we seldom visit, and get to sight see and snorkel, as there are some beautiful homes and landscapes in the 1000 islands. We will relax, have fun, enjoy each others company and set our own meal plan. Each boat will be responsible for their own Breakast and lunches. As a group we may arrange 2-3 community dinners. More will be discussed at a group pre-dive meeting in mid July.

We take possession of the 2 houseboats at Houseboat Holidays in Gananoque at 12 PM on Friday and return them by 4 PM on Monday. The incredibly low price includes the boats, food from Friday supper to Monday lunch, gas and insurance on the boats. These house boats have 135HP motors and large gas tanks. This will enable us to dive on certain wrecks more than once. We will drive down river toward Brockville making a few dives on the way. It is 8 hours to Brockville but the trip will be broken up with diving, lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay in which we will anchor in a bay.

Meals: Each boat will prepare their own meals for Friday Supper, Saturday, Sunday and Monday breakfast and lunch. We will all join together for dinners plus fixins' on Saturday and Sunday.

Tank fills yet to be confirmed;

1- By ABUCS at Gilbert Marine, on Saturday. Fills are $15 Cdn including tip for the driver.

2- By Hunts Dive Shop, New York, on Saturday. Fills are $8 US. We meet at Fisher Landing. If we go to the US

3- By ABUCS, at Andress Boat Works, on Sunday. The cost is $15.00 CDN for air and $25 for Nitrox. There is a $25 docking fee/boat. Due to the high water levels this year, we will only dock one boat opposite the Emily C.

Diving at the Rockport Wall:

We will enter up river from the wharf of the Boathouse Inn along the shore wall. A schooner, Sophia and old wharf can be found at a depth of 65’ about 20 minutes into the dive. The walls depth can reach 100’. One of the houseboats will drift along with the divers and pick up the divers before the Boathouse Inn wharf.
